MY YOGA JOURNEY

“Stepping into fear and the unknown was the moment everything changed.”

Hello, I’m Angharad, a yoga teacher based in Chester, Whitchurch, and the North West. Yoga has transformed my life over the past eight years in ways I never expected. It’s taught me how to live more fully, embrace my authentic self, and find peace both on and off the mat and it’s connected me with the most loving, accepting community. I’m so grateful you’re here too.

My journey began during a difficult chapter of my life. I was struggling with depression, chronic tonsillitis, and the pressure of a hectic job in London. My nervous system was overwhelmed, and I felt lost in people-pleasing and comparing myself to others who looked like they had it all figured out. Yoga became the one place where I felt calm. Even though I was self-conscious at first, my local studio quickly became a place where I felt accepted exactly as I was. It gave me space to pause, breathe, and slowly piece myself back together.

Two classes a week soon grew into a practice that reshaped my whole life. Yoga gave me the courage to make choices that honoured my wellbeing, including stepping away from a career that no longer felt aligned. I left my job and home in London and booked a teacher training with no plan other than to finally do something for myself. I never intended to teach, but the experience opened something in me, more clarity, more confidence, and a path that felt deeply right.

Today, what once felt like a small escape has become a way of life that continues to unfold naturally. I feel incredibly grateful to share this practice with others navigating their own ebbs and flows. Seeing yoga support people the way it supported me is the greatest gift  so thank you, truly, for being here.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training in Greece (2021) — with Yoga Union Bali

  • 50-hour Yin Yoga certification in Bali (2024) — with Yoga Union Bali

  • Teaching in studios — including Hotpod Yoga Chester, Soul Space, and Coald, developing my own classes and guiding students of all levels.

  • 1:1 yoga sessions — tailored to individual needs, supporting recovery from injury, emotional release, or simply cultivating a desired feeling.

  • Corporate yoga & wellness experiences — leading classes and full wellness days around Chester, bringing mindful movement and balance to busy professionals.

Whether you’re seeking strength, healing, stillness, or joy, I’m here to hold space for your unique journey with compassion and care. Together, we’ll nurture a mind-body connection that empowers you to live with greater ease, clarity, and authenticity.
